Exciting, action packed, filled with romance. It's hard to go wrong with these famous swashbucklers. I had seen many adaptations based on this (and future) works, but I had never read the original before and I'm glad I did. I will read the rest of the series as well.

Dates unknown.
Having recently started a new job and moving house my reading of this book was very fragmented and I never really got the chance to get into it properly. All the same it is wonderfully well written and has a great plot that continues to intrigue the reader throughout the novel. I would like to give this book another try at a time when I could really get into the novel.
