Return to the world of To Say Nothing of the Dog where historians can time travel to events and see what really happened. But what happens when the time travel mechanism starts slipping and deposits you a little too soon or too late. Or what if your target information was in error to begin with.

I have to admit this one left me kinda blah. I wasn't able to engage with many the characters. I usually anticipate one of Connie Willis's novels, but this one just didn't really do it for me. It's way to shaggy, the suspense structure drove me crazy, and its rife with British cliches (Alf & Binnie!) but I enjoyed it and will, with a short break, continue on to All Clear. ...more
