It's hard to know what to say about this book. It's sad, it's scary, it's brilliant, it's also much easier to read than I expected. Although difficult emotionally, the short sections and bleak action-driven language pull you on and on - much as the man and his son are moving on and on through a bleak and cold post-apocalypse landscape where almost nothing grows and anyone they encounter has to be assumed to be a cannibalistic enemy. A beautiful story in a bleak landscape. Repetitious, but worth getting through to the end.
