This is a very deep story that talks about the worth of living and the importance of cherishing every moment together. I really liked how that got me thinking about how lucky I am and how I should live each day to the fullest. There is a lot of questionable subjects in the book, which is why I took a star off. I think I have to go with the back cover on this one, it was a beautiful story. Being in a place where you have to make a choice like Mia does keeps you from putting the book down. Very much looking forward to the second book after how this one ends. Be prepared for a few tears to maybe sneak out.
I read this after seeing the preview for the upcoming movie. It was good, but not as good as I expected. I just didn't get as emotionally invested in the characters as I expected to. Maybe I'll like the movie better.
