This book made me cry, but nonetheless disappointed me. The idea is a great premise--a girl in a coma after a motor vehicle accident that killed the rest of her family and her consciousness/soul is thinking over whether to go on living. But the all-in-the-head consciousness never quite reached true emotion for me. There was very little risk taking or vulnerability with the character. Her friendships and her romance were all a bit too neat and tidily perfect. Her dead parents were just the cooles ...more

Basically I wanted something to do while I was at the chiropractor so I picked this up from the library because of the outstanding goodreads ratings. I loved this book! Right off, the characters become quite special and so endearing. I mean, the entire family. I especially liked Mia's younger brother. I won't spoil it, but it's pretty sad at some points. I really enjoyed reading this book. I didn't know what I was getting into since I randomly picked it off a bookshelf while on vacation.

The premise of this book was original...completely different from most of the YA books on the shelves today.

It starts with a snow day...a family trip....then things change drastically. I won't recap the story, because by the first chapter you know what has happened and why the book has its title.

It is the beginning of a series, and it abruptly ends leaving you wondering what happens next. All of the emotions are there with Mia, Adam, Kim, Gran & Gramps..... just wish that it hadn't en

Very easy fast read. After a tragic accident, a young woman is between life and death. She is deciding if she is going to stay or go. She thinks back on her life as she watches family and friends who have gathered at the hospital. It left me feeling rather melancholy.
