What Members Thought

Amazingly readable after nearly 300 years. Told as if a memoir, and entirely in the first person, it was possible to read inflection into the tale. Moll Flanders (we were reminded this was not her real name) had numerous adventures just trying to keep body and soul alive and well. She was quick witted, and, though, I am glad not to have lived with her trials and tribulations, would have been pleased to know of her at least. A woman always looking out for herself can always land on her feet.
