A novel bringing 17th century Iran to life to all the senses. The story of a young woman in a difficult situation, doing everything she can to survive and prosper.
We all enjoyed this book. We loved the description of her rug-making, and the fact that the young lady was strong, but didn't seem like a 20th century feminist set down in medieval times.
