What Members Thought

This is the story of Santiago, an old fisherman down on his luck, who hooks a giant marlin far off shore. It's a contest between the great fish who he respects, and the old man who spends days with terrible pain trying to haul him in with primitive equipment. All the old Cuban fisherman has in life now are his love of baseball and his affection for his young friend, a boy that he taught to fish. He fights to bring back the fish to change his luck.
