It's not you, Rainbow. It's me. I loved your 2 YA books. I think they were YA. Even this one has a YA feel -- in a good way -- when it talks about love, first love, etc. And totally relatable details about middle age, middle age love, what having kids does to a marriage, etc. All great. Right on.
It's me.
The premise in some ways reminded me of Maria Semple's hellacious This one is Mine. I hated it as much as I loved Where'd you go, Bernadette? More, really -- sorry to say.

3.5. It was a bit slow-paced, as I've found all her books to be. It was heartwarming regardless and extremely sweet. Also, I didn't really get the Camio. I know where it was in the book but it was so subtle that I'm questioning my guess as to who the couple is supposed to be, even though it can't seem to be anyone else. SOMEONE TELL ME.

Words cannot describe how much I loved that book. I felt that this beook understood life so well -- all the emotions of marriage, having children, career, etc. Rowell is such an amazing writer, she doesn't cease to amaze me!
