One great thing about the Goodreads Groups is that the group reads and challenges introduce books that you might not choose on your own. The Golem and the Jinni is one of those for me. The book is an urban fantasy interweaving the stories of the Golem (a creature made of clay), a Jinni (a creature made from fire), and the humans in the Jewish and Syrian sections of New York City where they live.
