After all the publicity and acclaim that I've heard about this supposedly life-altering book I thought...what the hell...let me give this a try. Essentially these are some of the emotions I expected to have upon reading these pages...

This book is based on a spectacular idea. Truthfully, I would love to read a book with this idea, but not this one.
I felt that so many things were good but did not live up to itself. The characters had amazing traits, but at the same time were exceedingly boring. The romance in the book was amazing, but I just did not feel their love. The plot was brilliant, but I was never pulled in.
Another thing this book is supposed to be sad, but I just did not feel the sadness.
