Now, this is quite the space travelogue to enjoy! I only wish it was longer since I totally didn't want the book to end.

2312 has been nominated for MANY science fiction book awards, and it's also my FIRST "did not finish" book of the year, and my first in more than 2 years. I really hate to quit book - HATE it - but at page 193 of 561, I'm calling it. I just ... can't.

This book is filled with interesting concepts of systems dynamics and the melding of nature and technology, which kept me reading throughout this book. However, when I read a work of fiction, I need something more than science...I need characters that drive me to care about the story and the world they live in. This is where the book left me high and dry, somewhat interesting ideas, but absolutely no interest in the characters or an emotional connection. Just didn't work for me, but should be of
