What Members Thought
I liked this book for its historical information. There are many aspects of growing up black in America that I have no understanding of, because I am white. This helped me to realize how difficult it was, and still is, for a black child to grow up in America and how many of the things I took for granted, were not and are not available to them. It is very sobering reading but it was an experience that I am glad that I had.
