The book is good but before we talk about the story lets start at the basics, I have the hard back edition, if you have not got yourself a copy yet buy hardback it is a lot better value and so lets Go:

Nice cover, Nice black case binding, lovely endpapers, I loved the odd feather here and there, also nice fonts.

Ok, Ok it is an odd way to start a review but everyone forgets the book designers so when you have finished reading a book and you want it looking nice on the bookshelf this book will be the one.

Now Lets talk about the story:

I am not going to give you the plot as you can read the book description for that, mine is more of what I found in the story and why I think you should read it.

Well we all know it going to be something about angels but what surprised me was the well formed lead characters Nora and Patch and the lovely feminine touches given by the author that so makes the story interesting.

The humour is nice and the character quotes are what lead me to read the book, I have a very odd sense of humour so was when I found bits like:

"You smell good, too,” said Patch

It’s called a shower.” I was staring straight ahead. When he didn’t answer, I turned sideways. “Soap. Shampoo. Hot water.”

Naked. I know the drill."

I knew the author must also be a little odd so it should be the right book for me; I read it and liked it .

First off, I have to say, I stayed up last night until around 2:20 AM finishing this book...at the beginning of every chapter I would say to myself, “just ONE more chapter, then you MUST go to sleep.” Yeah, for all the good that did. I just could NOT put it down, if that tells you anything.

Secondly, I heard a lot about this book, everything I seemed to read and/or hear, was that this book was a “must read,” a great book! As such, I was a bit worried, I have read several books that I heard were “excellent” only to be a bit, if not totally disappointed. Thankfully Hush, Hush lived up to the hype with it's amazing characters as well as it's unique plot.

The book does start off rather slow, when Nora, a good girl, who always does the right thing, is paired up with Patch as her Biology partner of all things. Patch is an over confident, cocky, sorta fellow – whom you either love or love to hate! (This sorta reminded me of another love story, I LOVED, though not excessively so.)

Patch seems to be everywhere that Nora is, is he stalking her? Things keep happening to Nora, is Patch the one doing them? Or is it the “elusive” Jules or the “trying to hard” Elliot?

Nora's best friend Vee, as well as the school therapist are both telling her that Patch is the one that's bad news. Both of them telling her she needs to steer clear, that Patch has a history and it's not a good one. Of course Nora, being Nora – MUST find out for herself. In doing so, she puts herself in several situations that are not so smart. (Nora is quite book smart, but in terms of the streets, well...lets just say she's not got her head on straight!)

The story really comes into it's own towards the end...things start to come together – although there's still plenty of twists left, right up to the last page.

For her first book Becca Fitzpatrick, has written a wonderful read, with rich characters, and an ending that will keep you guessing! No matter how “slow” the beginning started the ending was worth every bit of it...(and not to say I did not like the beginning it was just not as“action” packed, and did leave me saying, what? With an intense desire to read more.)

First I am going to start with the cover. OMG how lovely. Its prefect it really it. I love the red of the feathers that gradually go into the black. And in person its sooo shinny. (Yeah Im such a girl I love shinny lol)

I really enjoyed reading this story, Its a real page turner. It really draws you in from the start. It dark, mysterious and down right sexy. I loved the relationship between Nora and Patch. Its just full of sexual tension at some part even I was screaming just do it already lol. I ...more

Simply Amazing book! Nora is not interested in love but when she meets Patch life changes and she cannot decide weather to run for her life or give him a chance. I can't wait for the second book i couldn't put this one down there were so many great parts I can't even pick a favorite. I can see myself reading it again some day. ...more
