It's been several days since I finished this book and I'm still savoring it. What could easily be a tawdry soap opera (and still could be, because there's no doubt someone will make a movie out of this book) instead becomes an intense look at what we think we know, the truth, and what happens when those two things don't match up. I loved it and oh, what an emotional roller-coaster! An intricate melange of ideas and secrets, presented in a style I absolutely enjoyed from beginning to end. I had the feeling it was like a "desperate housewives" season and I really needed this sort of read at this moment. Shelves: drama, best-ever
I really liked how this book was written from multiple perspectives, with each character having their own distinct personality and realistic suburban drama, but yet they intertwined themselves to create a full storyline. I also liked the inner-thoughts of the characters and felt that they were struggling with honest and realistic insecurities that people really do feel, which made the characters more believable and life-like.
