Even though I re-read this book in Greek my review will in English.
I love Jennifer Donnelly's writing. With this book I traveled back to time of the end of the 19th century. It is a captivating, engagin and heartfelt book. A historical fiction and at the same time it is a mystery plot. There is romance, action, murder, destruction, greed, ambition and even revenge. There are great characters in this story that you will not forget easily, especially Fiona Finnegan who is the central figure with g ...more

At time predictable, but overall gripping tale of a badly dealt hand turning. Can't wait to read the part 2 and 3. Already ordered other Jennifer Donnelly books. I hope they are as good. She will soon be a favorite author if all her novels are this good. ...more
