This is such an amazing book. I loved it!
The first and second halves are like two different volumes with each dependent upon the other and I found each of them equally interesting in the reading.
"Doesn't the telling of something always become a story?"

I resisted this book for a long time, for three very good reasons: 1) it’s literary fiction; 2) it won the Man Booker Prize, and I’m historically 50/50 on liking Man Booker nominee and winning books; and 3) everyone talked about how amazing it was, and that kind of lavish praise makes me wary.

I think that I am the only person in America--perhaps the world--who hated this book. I didn't care about the situation, I didn't care about the boy, I didn't care about the tiger. But maybe I'm on a rant.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE BOOK!
I liked the beginning and the end, but the middle... all the boring, never-ending miserable chapters in the middle... *sigh*
