I was worried when I started reading this that I wasn't going to enjoy it. I normally don't take other reviews so much into account when reading something, but for some reason, all I seemed to be seeing was a rash of really bad reviews for this book.
I do have to say that I was very much surprised by this. It was really well written and engaging from the beginning. There were those moments, however, when I was screaming, "I DON'T GET IT..." and wanting more information. You do eventually get it, ...more

Just barely 3 stars. Another cool, but overrated YA book. A little more action and more revelations would've made it a good book, instead of an okay book.

Since the prologue, or "In The Beginning" chapter, I wanted to keep reading to know why these two people could not be together. As I kept reading, I was fascinated by Luce and wondered what really happened and who were all these characters, how they were connected to her. You were able to feel the connected she had with Daniel and even with Cam. I keep reading to figure out who these to guys were and why they were so keen on wanted to be with Luce (one more than the other, it seemed at first). T

I started on this back in August or September or something. I don’t know what made me put it down but I did. During the last week of December, I picked it up again. I do really enjoy it. I wouldn’t quite say Luce is a stalker, but she does give off the vibes of it. I like Daniel, but he’s so hard to read sometimes. I think it’s rather strange that while I am completely fascinated by religion and all that. I’m currently in dispute with my own religion, whatever that means haha. But I really liked

I abashedly admit to really liking this book and I'm looking forward to devouring the rest of the series. What can I say, I'm a mush for a star-crossed lovers, teen angsty story!
While I wasn't nuts about the "revelation", I liked the first three-quarters of the book and loved the hook at the very end to get me to run to the library to get the second book...curious to see where we go from here.
Fans of the Twilight series should give this a go! ...more

I agree with reviewer Penny: "this book is a bad version of Twilight except with fallen angels instead of vampires." The ending was very annoying because it did not resolve any of the plot questions, deliberately so, to justify a sequel.
