Well I have to admit I was desperate to get my hands on this book, but I wasn't totally sure why. Yeah its got a cool yet plain cover and I've seen it pop up all over the blogosphere but I wasn't sure it was something I would really like. This book was not what I thought it would be. I thought it was kind of weird and disconcerting in a way. Maybe its just the idea of all those teenagers being pushed to have so many babies so very young. Interesting idea, but I hope we never see this idea come into fruition.
The dialect distracted me from the story as well. All those terms thrown in about babies, pregnacy, etc. felt kind of convoluted, especially at the first. By the end I was more used to it, so it wasn't distracting me as much. ...more
