Such a good story. I loved it. Not sure where to begin...the characters, the story line, the magical world, the Bodleian. History, romance and fantasy all mixed in a flavorful book. Reading the 2nd one and it is equally as good.

I absolutely loved this book and discovering that it was a series was just the icing on the cake. Deborah Harkness is a professor of history, which helps her to seamlessly intertwine fact and fiction. The writing is so enchanting and believable that 579 pages seemed so very short.
