Emily Wilde's world is immersive, charming, scary, and creative. I adore her starchy, academic, and often bossy soul!

Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands is the rare example of a sequel that is better than the first book. Even more - it's the second book in a trilogy, traditionally the volume that I like the least! And yet I found myself completely charmed and invested from the very first page of this volume.
I find Wendell, the MMC, to be completely, utterly charming. He's definitely comparable to Howl from Howl's Moving Castle, so if you liked that story I think you would also love the Emily Wilde books. Wende ...more

Just as delightful as the first installment in the series!
Emily Wilde is now working on a book of maps of the moving/disappearing doors between human lands and those of Faerie, but mainly they are trying to find a door into Wendell's lost kingdom. I need more, like right now. I really enjoy this series. It's so cosy and cute, but we also get some good action, and interesting fae creatures. Like real fae creatures not just the super hot and handsome bunch. Even though i do sometimes find Emily annoying. I know she is this Sheldon of a fae world, but still not sure why she was often mean to her niece. Like the girls is trying, give her a break xD
