4.5 - is this really a 5 star read? probably not, but the impact it had on me and the need to cry (BUT I AM AT WORK) right now it is too great, too good, too everything, so five fucking stars it gets!

Let's start with why is not really a 5 star read - the worldbuilding could be a lot better, it was hard to get into it in the beginning and... and I don't remember right now.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this book. I loved the characters. I loved the romance. I loved the writing style. The only issue I had was a slight lack of cohesion. It felt at times like it was trying to tell two completely different stories at the same time.

I thoroughly loved this book and can't wait to read the next book. I ordered it from Book of the Month so I'm excited to see what happens in the next book. I loved the way this book ended.

At first I wasn't a big fan of Iris or Roman but the more the book went on the more invested I got into these two characters. I was also really invested in the side characters, Attie and Marisol.

I'm really anticipating the next book to ship on Dec. 22nd 😀 ...more
