When it comes to Lucy Foley's books, in the past I have loved the premise of her stories as it happens to be one of my favorite tropes, but I have felt that they have fallen flat for me and ended up being DNFs. So when it came to The Midnight Feast, again it was my favorite trope but I went into it with not high expectations and I found myself, though it was a bit on the slower pace side, I did enjoy the story. Great Setting: Imagine lush green lawns, a centuries-old manor, and a shimmering infinity pool. The Manor’s grandeur contrasts with the eerie forest that surrounds it. The author’s vivid descriptions transport you there.

WOW! I read this in less than 24 hours. I used every last bit of spare time I had to read. My husband said he knew it must be a good book because I was reading while I was cooking supper. I love Lucy Foley's books. The twists and turns are all fun and I'm not a horror reader but these have just enough creepiness to give you some chills. Already text my mom and told her I was on my way over to drop the book off so she can read it. ...more
