This is my first Alice Feeney book and boy did it not disappoint.
This story is about the Darker family. Beatrice (nana) Darker is the grandmother of the family. She is Frank's mother. Frank had married Nancy and they had three daughters, Rose, Lily, and Daisy. Daisy was the youngest of them but she was also fragile due to a "broken" heart.
The family all gathers for Nana's 80th birthday at her home, Seaglass. Her birthday falls on Halloween so she also does something a little special. All the f ...more

Ohmigosh!!! What did I just read?!? Absolutely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the plot twists that I did not see coming - and trust me, I’m usually pretty good at guessing them. WOW. Ok, now I need some friends to read this because I don’t know how long I can last without giving away the twists!!! I could have choked from how many times I gasped during the last few chapters. Unfortunate, I knew the twist from the very beginning of the book, which lost it a star. It was very obvious, and I’d be surprised jf the majority of readers didn’t know. But, I like these types of stories with people trapped in a house as one by one people are killed or go missing.
This is a mix of Agatha Christie (a nod is given to her in the book), Clue, The Westing Games, The Inheritance games, all mixed in.
