Mostly it was just okay until the last 50+ pages where I was caught in the suspense and could not stop reading. I do, however, really like Clary's character. Firstly, she is not annoying. She doesn't come across as a try-hard and she likes to take action. My kind of heroine!

Not gonna lie...I first picked this book up so I wouldn't feel bad about watching the movie. I have this weird thing about reading books before I watch the movie. This book definitely did not disappoint and now I am off to finally watch the movie and continue reading the series!
