Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone is one of the most unique mystery thrillers I’ve read in a while. It’s clever, darkly funny, and self-aware in all the best ways. I gave it 4.25 stars and am already looking forward to picking up the next installment.

This was so fun! I really loved the concept, and the meta approach to a person who writes how-to-write-a-mystery-book actually writing a mystery. I also really enjoyed the self-awareness, and the times he talked to the reader (or listener in the case of the audiobook) directly. I do kind of wish I'd read it instead of listening to it, because I think I would have enjoyed being able to flip back to the opening and basically the roadmap he provides and see how it all plays out.
