Shelves: suspense-thriller, mystery, library, mystery-thriller

From the very beginning, a creepy atmosphere permeates this tale surrounding a Parisian home and its inhabitants. It's a well-crafted mystery (sort of a continental twist on an English manor house mystery), but having just now sent it back to the library, I'm not sure if I can say I actually enjoyed it. This was a super quick engaging read. Very easy to get caught up in the story and trying to figure out what was going on.

Jess has come to Paris to stay with her brother, Ben, for a little bit while she gets back on her feet. Only when she arrives to the address that Ben gave her he isn't there. Jess is surprised at how upscale the apartment he lives in is. Jess knows that something has happened with Ben and she is trying to figure it out.

Shelves: mystery-crime, thriller, female-leads

I liked the twists and turns in this one. It gave me Riley Sager hotel book vibes, but not as scary. It was a slow burn for pay off, but it was still good for me.
