A very good debut novel. One can't help but like Molly Gray. I found some of it very irritating - the constant description of Molly's oddness in particular; it was enough for her to show us that she was different. So, while it was very sweet in a way, the triteness became tiresome on occasion.

I enjoyed Molly's supporting characters, & their varied reactions to some of her truisms & non sequiturs. I love that she has found a job that allows her to follow her passion, & friends to help & care for ...more

Molly Grey is a maid at the Regency Hotel. She's very prideful of her job and her work ethic. She's 25 years old. She lives in the apartment she lived with her Gran who sadly passed away 9 months earlier.

Molly is socially awkward around people. Her co workers find her odd, yet she doesn't see their actions as awkward. Oh, Molly! I got about halfway through the book and just wanted to hug Molly and step in for her Gran. Although not labeled/diagnosed as such, she's clearly on the spectrum/neurodivergent and makes for a very interesting narrator. I thoroughly enjoyed this different sort of mystery and am looking forward to hearing more from Molly in the future. ...more
