What Members Thought
This book was 5 stars for me up until the last quarter of the book. However, I can't ignore those very good pages. The setting and characters - all wonderful. I really enjoyed learning about the Ojibwe culture and the realities of living in modern day - the drugs, etc... It was very realistic.

I finally finished this! I think it's a way too long book, with too much information dump in a not so natural way and, truth be told, I found it overall boring and had a hard time getting into it (I mean, I never did - I thought I would at one point when the plot changed, but even that twist did not make my reading experience enjoyable). Maybe it's not the book for me.

This was such a great book!! I loved learning about Native American Tribal history and the traditions that they honor. At times I thought it was a little fantastical but it really didn't matter because I was so engrossed in the story that I just didn't care!! This is Boulley's debut book and I will certainly read her next book.
