I got caught up quickly in this story. I had never known that France had done something like this and it was definitely eye opening.
The story was chalk full of emotion and this is the reason I became so engrossed in the story. I do admit that the first half of the book was more enjoyable for me rather than the last half. The last half of the book got a bit too typical for me.
Overall a wonderful and well written story.

omg. I'm not sure what to say about this amazing book besides why did it take me so long to read it?? this book brings to life a situation of real life history that many don't know about. this is a book everyone should read at least once so they can see that ignorance isn't the answer. knowledge of the past can help make a better future so we don't repeat it.
