I am always skeptical of books that everyone else loves. Most of them leave me underwhelmed at best (loathing them at worst). Not so with this one. So many people recommended it to me that I finally gave in and even bought it because the waiting lists at the library for all versions were hundreds long. And I am delighted that it was worth every penny. This is one of the most beautifully written books I have read in a very long time.
