It took me awhile to get this book as the holds were very long. If I could've I would of finished this book in one sitting. I see the hype around this book.
The book is centered around Kya aka The Marsh girl. Her story is one of survival. Pretty much abandoned at an early age she had to learn to survive on her own. This book touched my heart in so many ways, like a deep longing for love in the depths of the marshes. It is, undoubtedly, a poetical feat, impressive through its plot complexity and character development.
Delia Owens is a master of words and wisdom with every paragraph and revealing. I am so amazed by the character of Kya, with all its struggles and wilderness.
