What Members Thought
What made me really fall in love with this book was the visual descriptions that the author used. I noticed it was much apparent in the beginning than during the last half of the book. Era is set in WWII times.
I loved the opening prologue story. It was sad and it definitely made me want to keep reading to find out more about those characters.

Having recently returned from a trip to Scotland, I happen to unintentionally picked up a book set in Scotland. Sara Gruen does it again! Different place, time, new set of characters. This is a well researched, intelligent and exciting novel. I didn’t want it to end and now that I have I wish I could start all over. The amount of historical detail and character development that has gone into this book really encourages you to embrace and appreciate the immense effort writers put into their work.
