When reading Karin Slaughter, it is a grab bag. Sometimes the books are thrilling, upsetting, and enthralling. Other times it is a slog. This is one of the latter times. I had heard such great things about this book but I didn't find it as suspenseful or interesting as other books.

I think one problems was the characters. I liked the sister (who had a child) but I wasn't as fond of the main character. Also, there were some plot threads that seemed to be dropped at the ending run which did seem a ...more

Wow - what a book! It's not for the faint of heart (lots of violent content) but it's a fantastic read. Well paced and an intriguing plot! I didn't want to put it down! It's very violent and disturbing but also just a GOOD story! If you can get past the violent content, I highly recommend this one. Sucha great and fun read! ...more

Well, this is a twisted book. First, huge trigger warning if you need one. Deals with a lot of sickening stuff.
