Sometimes I think it's good to switch up my reading as a way to sort of cleanse my reading pallet. Unfortunately, I recently devoured a similar fantasy, The Young Elites by Marie Lu and Red Queen, just didn't measure up. It was good, very good, probably much better than I experienced it, but I just couldn't help comparing the main characters and motivations of each book.
