I really enjoyed this YA dystopian sci-fi with people with superpowers. We never get into what really happened to make the world this way or where this is. Though I do get the impression that it is set in a future Europe.

The characters are not that engaging, but the situations and plot kept me turning the pages. Definitely want to read more books set in this world.

I really liked this a lot. I definitely felt like there were some similarities to other YA books I've read, but there was a lot of originality as well. What's important to me is that a book is well written and holds my interest. This one did. I couldn't wait to find out what happened. I assume this is the start of a series, and I will be eagerly waiting for the next book. ...more

I've read other reviews that stated this was a combination of The Selection meets The Hunger Games. I can see the similarities in the two. It certainly has caught my attention and I can't wait to see what the next installment holds. ...more

Liked it, and pace is good, but characters seemed a little too formulaic and the story fell a little flat near the end because of it. Didnt love it, but will probably read the next one.
