What Members Thought
I love being surprised by a book. This one was a surprise in so many ways. Firstly, the time travel aspect was interesting and although (necessarily) logically convoluted, it hung together really well. Secondly, it was so pleasant to read a book set in England which was pretty much authentically English in language, geography and mannerisms. And finally, it was fantastic to have a 16 year old MC who, although definitely 16, wasn't mouthy, rude, arrogant or irritating. Put together, this book jus

So far so good.. engaging, entertaining, and well paced/written.
I've finished! This was a delightful read. Interesting premise, well set up conflicts, characters are well drawn, well paced writing that pulls you through the narrative. It does end somewhat abruptly but gives a nice teaser lead in to novel #2. This seems to be standard for this type of young adult novel in recent years. [the ending abruptly rather than winding up the story so it could - if needed -- stand alone. I suspect the pub ...more

I really enjoyed the intrigue and the whole mystery of this book. The cast of characters (there's a list in the back of my book and I used it! It was a great help!) were very entertaining to read.
And this is a great book.
