Getting caught up so reviews will be short and sweet.
Let me begin by saying I am not usually a fantasy reader, but a few books this year may have brought me around to the genre and this was one.
The characters were interesting, the action well thought out, and the end left me wanting to immediately read the next volume.

Not knowing quite what to expect, I did find the premise of this book to be interesting - the gray space between good and evil. As both Victor and Eli are given ExtraOrdinary (EO) powers based on their revival from death, we are left to question which one was truly evil and good. Victor was trying to find Eli to kill him because Eli was killing other EOs in retribution for their unnatural abilities. We were made to feel that neither was truly "correct" in their thinking.
