What Members Thought

I really liked this book. I went into it completely blind and had no clue what it was about. Hard to do when it had movie trailers showing on every TV station but I fast forwarded them and I never listened to one book review.
I tried to tell my son he had to read this book and he asked what it's about and even though I read it and loved it I find it difficult to tell him what it's about without giving away anything.

This was a surprisingly good read for me. I picked it up on a whim from the library and kept putting it off to read. I wish I had read it sooner.
I enjoyed the plot and the whole idea behind the story. Ruby, the main character, wasn't that strong of a character in my opinion. There were many times where she was a bit annoying because she always seemed a bit indecisive. As the story progressed though I was able to see how she had grown in both her "power" and personality.

What a great book and I loved that it didn't end with a major cliffhanger. This story finished itself but still set up the next book. I do have a lot of questions about the society. Like where are they? Where is the little brick houses full of people eating, drinking, living? Where did everyone go? There are supply trucks going somewhere, but where? It is mentioned that there isn't much money anymore so TV is just reruns but where did it go? What did the government do to this society? And,I wond
