Unfinished tales is a problematic book. On one hand there are two complete stories there which are whole and complete enough to enjoy as thoroughly as possible and, indeed, there's much to enjoy. There's also missing scenes from Lord of the Rings and many small snippets for fans of Tolkien's elven tales.
