A mechanical police procedural thriller that successfully goes through the motions but fails to engage or involve. There is plenty of misdirection then a rather long exposition to explain it all before the pace builds for the finale. Ok of its kind but it didn't make me want to read any more in the series.

Great book. I loved the story and the action. It would have really helped to have read the Inspector Harry Hole series in order to understand exactly what was going on in the beginning, however after reading the first few chapters it did become clear. It has definitely made me want to read the rest of this series and the earlier books. It would be nice if the first two were translated in English like the latter ones!
