Shelves: ya, audiobook, fantasy

I now have 3 different editions of The Hobbit. The first is the standard edition of it, the second is an excellent illustrated one, and finally, I have an audiobook version of it which I finally finished. The narrator was fantastic and it was really nice to actually hear Tolkien's songs rather than just reading them as poetry. There's still parts of the book I have problems with (most notably the beginning with Gandalf and Bilbo's unexpected guests), but the rest of the book more than makes up f ...more

When I was very young my mum read me The Hobbit, from then on I become obsessed with every work Tolkien had produced. This book holds a special and strong place in my heart. As it always reminds me of my mum and the adventures we shared while reading this book

Another Hobbit book - although this one has the Runic cover art, but cannot find the exact edition by ISBN and publisher. Might have to add it in later. Quite a large hardcover book. Lots of hand-drawn art inside, and tons of notes.
