This is a book you read in a sitting. It is actually more a picture book set to a song/poem.
The song/poem is presented on the left page. The Illustration (by Pauline Baynes) is on the right. These comprise the top 2/3rds of each page and tell the story of Bilbo's travel to the Grey Havens.
In the bottom 1/3rd of each page are illustrations that tell the full story of The Hobbit (at least for those who have read it one time or many more).
The approach is genius and execution without flaw.

Great art, good poem
It's a nice way to end the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, and the art is beautiful...but a little pricy for a very short poem. ...more
