What Members Thought
While reading this book I grabbed an envelope and wrote down "none of these characters needed to be convinced. Gandalf comes to Edoras, kicks out Grima, and Theoden is DYING to go out and kill him some orcs. Treebeard had apparently just been waiting for Merry and Pippin to get there before he talked to the other Ents. It makes me understand the changes PJ made in the movie so much better. So yay for that, although I still don't forgive him for Faramir.

The fate of the fellowship. Gollum's ttreachery is very well executed. Great twists in the story. The first part, especially the battle of Rohan and Isengard is interesting. The adventure of Frodo on the other hand is a bit dull.
