As always, Josh Lanyon's books comfort me. This series is not an exception and it worked its magic on me.
Kick Start was just what I needed today. A sweet romantic conclusion to this lovely series. I'm going to miss Will and Taylor. The couple had grown on me throughout their journey together and I would love to see them again soon.

It was alright, but more than any of the other books in the series, you can tell this one was setting up plot points for future books. Which might not be so bad, if it hadn't been years since this series has been touched. Unfortunately, it sort of sours my impression of it, since there were some unresolved issues in this one that still need to be addresed.

I don't connect with this series as well as I do with Lanyon's other stories. It's probably a character thing. Will is boring and Taylor whines too much. The writing feels duller, not as much insightful sparkly prose as I generally associate with Lanyon.
There seems to be a new plot twist coming up that could be interesting. But I've pretty much written these guys off. ...more
