What Members Thought

To be honest, I only picked up this book because Josh Lanyon wrote a story for it. In the past I haven't had much luck with anthologies, and wasn't sure how much different one with a "shared world" would be, so I was skeptical from the start. I couldn't have been more wrong. The stories were incredibly imaginative, descriptive, and well-written. Not a weak one among the bunch. The stories built on each other in a complimentary manner and word building was a breeze. Definitely 5 star material. I'

Cherries Worth Getting, by N. Kimberling: An interesting world with two solid leads and a well thought out investigation. Would have loved a longer investigation to stretch out the romance. 4*
No Life But This, by A. Amara. A much longer story than the previous two. Loved the couple (although the romance most definitely played second fiddle to the plot) and the plot kept me interested and invested. 4.5*

4.5 rounded up
Whilst this is technically an anthology, I am not really sure it can be classified as that. Four novella length stories from four different authors all involving NIAD – Nato Irregular Affairs Department – responsible for the paranormal, magical, weird and dangerous… from snow goblins, vampires and sithe through to the half dead, Mayan Gods, Goblins and a kitten these stories are very cleverly presented. It would be half for me to pick a favourite as I really enjoyed all of them.

Very good book with stories that allude back to the MC's in the first story. I originally just got the book to read Josh Lanyon's story but all the stories were pretty good and well worth the buy.
