What can I say about Mexican Heat that hasn't already been said?
This book is extremely beautiful and kind of heart breaking.
One of the things I'll make special mention of is the writing. In specific, perhaps, the pace of the book is excellent. At first, the book was hot, then the plot became extremely interesting, characters were well developed, relationships were built, and still while maintaining the hot factor. This was my latest Bingo Book - Alpha Male Characters
a solid FOUR stars
This book was hard for me to get into at first. I started it and didn't really like it too much to begin with. I persevered because I had chosen it for bingo and thank god I did, because at 25 % I was getting into it and a few pages later, I was totally engrossed!

While I still enjoyed the story here—there was enough Lanyon-style to hold my attention and the elements of the story I enjoyed so much the first time haven't changed—some of the prose, purple to the extreme, drove me nuts this time. How I ever believed Josh Lanyon to be a man with sexual descriptions like this I'll never know—palsied channel? I mean, really (of course that could have been Baumbach, but it flowed across both halves so I think it was a dual effort... and Lanyon ca ...more
