2.5 rounded up because its by Josh Lanyon.
Hmm... I feel a bit let down right now. Everything that was there was fine—typical Lanyon; beautifully crafted writing. And I knew going in that it was short, 5K, (far too expensive at $2.99 for that length btw, but that's another issue) but to me it feels like the first chapter of something more, something that has only just started, and is definitely not finished. Yes, it is finished, in all the ways that matter, but it wasn't enough for me this time. ...more

A good short read although a bit too short. Ford was easy to relate to and Jacob was the kind of character everyone wished they could have just come swoop in and make everything better. An encouraging story about taking chances.
Love the cover. It's really cute and suitable to the story. ...more

Well, it was short but it was sweet and gave me kind of a warm feeling. I had to smile about Fords anxiety (not that it's funny but I could so relate!)and how he got more and more flustered. Jacob reacted so great, confident and competent and gentle. I wanted to be hugged by him, too. It's amazing how a simple hug can make you feel safe and warm and give you the chance to calm down. Somehow this story felt like a hug to me :)
