There's something about Josh Lanyon's protagonists that I have such a soft spot for....they're vulnerable yet have an inner strength and resourcefulness that makes you root for them from the get-go. This is one of my favorites of Josh’s shorter works. I’m glad I finally got to listen to the audiobook. It was just as enjoyable.
I've probably read this five times already and I still love it just as much. Would love to see a sequel one day!

Lanyon really can do the shorter format well. This is a second chance romance with a historical murder mystery as the external plot.
