Loved this book! Short but worth the read. Josh has a way of sucking you into his stories and having you caring for the characters immediately. This was a very intense read for me. The threat of Stephen's lover leaving him AGAIN to do a spy job for "The Man" made me so angry. How could he even consider it!! He gave his word to Stephen that he was done. And the pain and angry that Stephen went through when he finally found out what he was keeping from him was so palatable. I was feeling it right

I really like these characters. Mark is trying so hard not to break any promises to Stephen but his past is trying to drag him back. I'm glad he made the right choice.

I'd love to know how J.E.B Stuart slept in a Victorian house's guest room when he died in1864. Unless its a different house than the one in the first book?
